Hello
I am Ilona Erst, the founder of American Maids Inc.
I am a mother, a business owner, a pet owner. I am probably just like one of you.
Family and friends are two most important things for me. To keep my family safe and sane I need to spend time with them and to be able to stay in touch with my friends.
Of course to do all this fun stuff I want someone to help me with day to day chores, like cleaning, organizing, babysitting. This was when I realized: if I need someone, then there must me more families, young professionals, senior people who will need the same services. I believe that clean home is fundamental to leave healthy life, and a healthy family is a happy family

OUR HISTORY:

At that time I was working as a real estate professional for a very fine real estate firm North Clybourn Group Inc in Bucktown, Chicago. When we were showing properties for sale or for rent I noticed that a lot of them were not showing well for a simple reason that they were not clean. They were actually pretty dirty. I was always picturing how cute the apartment looked only if it was clean! Everyone deserves to live in a clean home! With this desire in my heart-I started American Maids Inc. back in 2005.

AMERICAN MAIDS TODAY:

Currently American Maids Inc has 10 wonderful female housekeepers on staff and rapidly growing.
I personally take an active part in running the business, interviewing and training new people, handling customer service requests and even do cleaning. Not only I own the cleaning business, I live it.. I always look for new and better ways of cleaning our clients’ homes: healthier, faster, and more efficient. Thus we actively use environmentally friendly cleaning supplies that are also Green Seal certified, as well as latest trends and technology in the cleaning industry that effectively eliminate dust but at the same is harmless for the environment and your household.
We are members of ARCSI-professional organization for home cleaners. We are constantly growing not only in numbers, but also in our knowledge and experience, so that we can offer one of the best cleaning experience to you, our valuable clients.

We are always open to any questions from our clients. Not only we clean the houses, we also educate our clients about better ways of cleaning and new products. You do not have to be one of our clients to ask a question about how we do things and about the best ways of taking care of your home.
Our goal is simple: to provide high quality service at affordable rates. We can help you to find the best way to keep your house clean and neat without spending a fortune. I will come and personally meet with you to give an in-house estimate and discuss the details about your cleaning. And possible share with you my experience about cleaning and give you some advice on how to save on cleaning without diminishing the quality.
Our company and myself personally are actively involved in different charitable events and organizations.
Part of all our company gross income (1% or more) goes directly to help children in need through different non for profit organizations: whether it’s helping to pay for a child’s medical treatment or surgery or collecting items for orphanages and families in needs. In 2008 we became a proud member of Cleaning for a Reason- non for profit organization (http://www.cleaningforareason.org) that offers free professional housecleaning services to improve the lives of women undergoing treatment for cancer.
