I am Ilona Erst, the founder of American Maids Inc.
I am a mother, a business owner, a pet owner. I am probably just like one of you.
Family and friends are two most important things for me. To keep my family safe and sane I need to spend time with them and to be able to stay in touch with my friends.
Of course to do all this fun stuff I want someone to help me with day to day chores, like cleaning, organizing, babysitting. If I need someone, then there must me more families, young professionals, senior people who will need the same service. I believe that healthy family is a happy family.
Everyone deserves to live in a clean home. With this desire in my heart-I started American Maids Inc. back in 2005.
At that time I was working as a real estate professional for a very fine real estate firm North Clyboun Group Inc based in Bucktown. When we were showing properties for sale or for rent I noticed that a lot of them were not showing well for a simple reason that they were not clean. They were actually pretty dirty. I was always picturing how cute the apartment looked only if it was clean! So I offered this idea to my broker. After few days I got a first offer from a landlord to clean his property, then another one and another. In a matter of weeks I was joggling two jobs and was looking for helpers. After about a month I decided to incorporate and started to do cleaning full time.
Currently American Maids Inc has 10 wonderful female housekeepers on staff.
I personally take an active part in running the business, interviewing and training new people, handling customer service requests and even do cleaning. Not only I own the cleaning business, I live it. I always look for new and better ways of cleaning our homes: healthier, faster, more effective. Thus, we actively use environmentally friendly cleaning supplies that are also Green Seal certified, as well as latest trends and technology in the cleaning industry that effectively eliminates dust but is harmless for the environment and your household.
I am always open to any questions from my customers. Not only we clean the houses, we also educate our customers about better ways of cleaning and new products.
